The article considers a special synthetic character of Russian literary tradition of the XIX century that raises a problem of a holy (sophian) view of a man and the world. The article describes an ability to see sanctity, some wise, divine and metaphysical purpose for everything in the world, or, on the contrary, the betrayal of this purpose.
